Race Day Sunday January 18, 2009 Start Time 6:50 at Napili Park
1. Best Bet:
Sleep in and have someone drop you off near the start line at the corner of Hwy 30 and Maiha St. before 6:25 and then meet you at the finish line and enjoy breakfast in Lahaina. The start line is near Kapalua on Maiha St at Napili Park( has flush toilets) just off Hwy 30 . Maiha Street is not on some maps. It is between Napilihau St and Office Road on Hwy 30 and before you get to Kapalua. Do pick up a free map at the airport or at your condo or hotel.

2. Or park at the south end of Lahaina before 5:30 am near the finish line at Kamehameha Iki Park and catch a shuttle bus by the Prison Street parking lot to the start line. The parking lots are generally $5. Please do not park on Front Street which is our race course.

4. Or if you are staying at Kaanapali area hotels, pick up the shuttle bus at the Whalers Village bus stop.

You will be running on the shoulder of the road along the upper Honoapiilani Highway. When you turn on to Front Street near mile 7 you will run on the right side to the finish line. Traffic is closed in your lane, but be safe and stay on the right edge. Walkers will be asked to move to the side walk at 8:50 am.

15K Walkers please note: The course will open in some areas to traffic behind the runners starting at 8:00 am For those taking longer than 2 hours please move to the sidewalk, carry a course map, water and be self sufficient and familiar with the route as volunteer support will be limited after this time. Intersections will be open on Highway #30 and you will be required to obey police or traffic signals.
