
Start time is 7:50 a.m.
The 5K Run-Walk will start just south of Kaanapali at Hanakao'o Beach Park also know as Canoe Beach. (yahoo map)
Going north from Lahaina turn left just past the stop light for the Lahaina Civic Center.
The 5K start is near the Canoe Clubs and the old cemetery just south of the Hyatt Regency Hotel at Kaanapali.
Hanakao'o Beach Park has flush toilets.
If you are staying in the Kaanapali area simply walk to the back of the Hyatt Regency and look for the start area through the back gate .into the park
Buses will pick up from the Prison Street parking (near the finish) in Lahaina stop and then drop off 5K Runners at the 5K start line. Check for shuttle times when you pick up your race number at the Lahaina Cannery Mall. see Yahoo Map
If you are dropping off a spouse or friend at the Napili Park 15K start line you will have time to get back to the above parking areas to take the 5k shuttle bus.
The first mile is on grass and dirt path along the ocean and has several places for spectators to park, picnic, and enjoy the ocean views while waiting for you to pass.
Turn right on to Front Street at just past mile seven of the 15K course. This is mile one for the 5K.
More ocean vistas on your right as you will pass the Lahaina Cannery Shopping Mall on your left at about mile 1.5. This is where you may have picked up your race number and T-shirt on Saturday
The Old Lahaina Luau will be on the ocean side at 1.6 miles. This is the best Luau in Hawaii. And the Old Lahaina Luau will sponsor your only aid station for the 5K.
Forest Gump's is ocean side at Mile 2.3 and Moose McGillycuddy's is on the left and Kimo's is on the right at Mile 2.5. Moose's has an overlooking balcony for breakfast for your friends to watch you run by.
On your right, overlooking the ocean and Front Street is the famous "Cheeseburgers in Paradise" also open for breakfast.
The Pioneer Inn is on the Banyan Tree block on your right, another great place for breakfast/lunch/dinner and facing the harbor, a block off the Front Street course.
At 2.8 miles the single Banyan Tree on your right covers most of the block.
The finish line is in front of Kamehameha Iki Park at the very south end of old Lahaina Town. This is the area where King Kamehameha lived and played. Traditional Hawaiian Canoes are built and displayed here. Nice beach with views of Lanai and the Harbor. see Yahoo Map
Traditional Hawaiian entertainment will be awaiting you along with your finishers medals and snacks.
Awards are given to First Place over all men and women; open and masters (40+) as well as to first place in the 5 year age divisions
Walkers please note: The course will open in some areas to traffic behind the runners starting at 7:50 am For those taking longer than 1 hour in the 5k please move to the sidewalk,
